Last weekend (6th till 8th June 2014) Alicante held the traditional Alicante Medieval Market. Precious handcrafts, food stands, music and artistic shows were presented to it’s best until midnight and brought a huge crowd into the city.
From 10 o’clock in the morning locals and tourists enjoyed the market in the narrow streets of Casco antiguo Santa Cruz. It spread from Plaza San Cristobal down to Plaza del Ayuntamiento where the Gran Espectaculo was held at 22.30h.
I enjoyed the friendly and busy atmosphere a lot and sometimes I really felt thrown back into medieval times! Qué guay!
